My Birthday. My Relationship with Jesus (Testimony)

Hello Reader, how are you doing? Today being December 10, 2014 is a remarkable day in my life. Many many years ago, around 12 am on a chilly Wednesday been 10th December, in the year 1987. My mommy gave birth to her first child and it was a baby girl, her cries brought smiles and joy in the hearts of many. That baby was me.

Years later, today the baby have grown to a young beautiful and independent lady. You want to know me. View my blogger profile…lol. Behind that beautiful face and successful being their was once pains, obstacles, challenges, victories and successes.

As God adds another year to my life, I love to use this opportunity to share my encounter with Jesus. I have known him for so many years but I never took him serious, though I regard him as the Almighty. Never for once have I surrender totally to him. I hear of him a lot, like he answers prayers, a miracle worker. I don’t recall having a personal encounter with him. That just it.

My growing up had it’s challenges but I was fortunate to have parents who solved my life puzzle for me, thereby making young life easy and painless for me. I would remember my mommy always say God is and has always been the one helping us. She advises me that no matter how life present it’s self to me whether good or bad I should hold unto God. I was pampered and also strictly disciplined at the same time by my parents. We were 3 in the family (me, my sister and my late brother).

My life changed in 2011. December 2011. As I returned from school, my daddy came to pick me up say around 11pm because my coach came late from Ghana. As usual when I got home I expected my baby brother to be asleep so I rush'd to the parlor to meet him in his sleep. Behold, he was not there. Oh okay, he is in the room, so I thought. I quickly checked he is not there either.  So I asked. I was told he is in the hospital (which was a lie) let me not go down this memory lane. The whole news was he is dead. He left us to the great beyond at a tender age. This tragedy affect the family so badly. One, he was the only son. Two, we prayed so much for him to join us in the family. Let me not bore you with this…

After my brother’s death the following befell on us.
  • All financial doors were closed
  • My mom was mentally ill
  • My dad’s car was stolen
  • Residing in lagos was no longer interesting to us as we could not meet up with it’s demands
  • Fear for my future began to traumatize me
  • All reliable family and friends including church members abandoned us.

Whenever I knee to pray to God. I cry and cry till tears seize from my eyes. Then I get up.

So from 2011 till 2014 life was a living hell for me and my family. Not until April 2014. I met Jesus and developed a trusting relationship with him. He said I should call unto him in times of trouble, that he would hear me and deliver me. So I held unto his words and I challenged him.

Frankly speaking, the problem of 3years was taken away in the space of 8months…

Find below the outcome of the relationship I built with Jesus.
  • My 3 year mentally ill mom was healed.
  • My dad’s car was replaced with a better one
  • Financial doors begins to open one after the other
  • I was able to set up a business of my very own
  • Those who abandoned us and thought our life was over are surprise to see the rapid turn around in my family
  • Above all God’s favor was on us.
The essence of this article is to inspire you reading this. If you have not built a relationship with Jesus, you are missing a lot. I am talking out of experience…look at what I have achieved since we became friends.

Moral lessons from my life experience

Developing a relationship with God can make your life smoother and purposeful: God allowed me to pass through this so that I can be a living witness of his miraculous work.

When making a request to God, do not be afraid to ask for something that seems unattainable, he will surprise you: In the midst of hunger, you would ask for food abi? We could no longer live in lagos and planning to move out of lagos. I was kneeling down asking for a brand new car. In my heart, I was like; I know God will not answer this one. But just so he knows I want daddy to have a car. Hellooo, he did answer that one first self.

Never put your hopes in man they will surly fail you: I was disappointed by the people I felt were supposed to be my anchor including the church (will not mention the church’s name here). But I overcame it, alone with God.

A problem of so many years can be solved by God in a blink of an eye: Yess oo I felt my mom would no longer recover after 3 years with this illness. At a blink of an eye. She is very normal. Living her normal life.

God is very close to you: More than you can imagine, he is not far. He is just there by your side. Whisper to him and he hears you.

Do you want to develop that relationship I had with him?

Is very simple just follow this few steps below…
  • Accept that he is God
  • Confess your sins to him
  • Believe that he has forgiven you.
  • Then, read your bible to hear him speak to you through his words.
Do you have a problem pulling you down? Some problem can not be solved by just prayer oo you need to add fasting to it. I did it. It worked. Pray with your whole heart and remind him of his promises in John 14 vs 14; 15 vs 7, know that Luke 1:37 says it all and make this confession in Psalm 102 vs 13 to him all the time. So challenge him and share your result with me her on blogspot.com.

Don’t forget it’s my birthday today. I thank God almighty for his love, banner and provision on me. He saw me through and he is still seeing me through this life. Join me and thank him.

Stay inspired and remain bless.
